Local Community Associations — Residents in neighborhoods such as Olomana and Lanikai have banded together to form associations which aren’t technically a part of the local government but can influence in policy decisions.
Kailua Neighborhood Board — Meets on the first Thursday of every month. Kelli Ann and Kate are both members. On the second Thursday of every month, the “Pollution Of Kailua Waterways And Beaches” sub-committee meets online and in-person at Kailua District park.
City and County of Honolulu
DPR — Department of Parks and Recreation — Includes management of Kailua beach park. Many of our parks also serve as important drainage and flood control for our neighborhoods.
DFM — Department of Facilities Maintenance — Clean up of streams and roadways. Includes the Stormwater Quality Division.
ENV — Department of Environmental Services — Waste and wasterwater

Board of Water Supply — Water quality, conservation, and resources. In particular, read the Watershed Management Plan which is a long-term evaluation of resources.
Hawaii State Department of Health — Includes the Clean Water Branch, Safe Drinking Water Branch, and Wastewater Branch
National
NOAA — National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration — Ocean, weather, and fisheries
EPA — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency — Manages clean up and management agreements between companies and other governmental agencies.
